During Sam’s childhood and adolescent years he spent a lot of time in the dental chair undergoing complex dental treatment due to dental trauma. This stemmed a fascination with dentistry from an early age leading him to where he is today. Through these personal experiences it has helped him treat patients with a great understanding of what they are going through to provide quality treatment he knows he would appreciate as a patient.

Upon graduating Sam spent a year working at the Dunedin Hospital in the maxillofacial department. He gained skills in dealing with complex medical conditions, oral pathology and oral surgery.

In 2014 Sam made the move to the beautiful Bay and had the opportunity of working for a local Maori provider as a general dentist. Sam was able to critique his skills and help thousands of low income adults.
