ABOUT

Tom grew up in central Scotland and qualified from the University of Dundee in 1988. Soon after graduation Tom moved to England and opened a very successful general dental practice in Northampton with his Tooth Fairy Dental colleague Dr Al Cook. In 2002 Tom decided to move to New Zealand with his family for a better lifestyle. After a brief spell working in KeriKeri he discovered the Bay of Plenty and settled in Mount Maunganui joining the Tooth Fairy Dental team.

Tom firmly believes that continued education is key to developing his skills. Tom regularly attends courses to ensure he is at the forefront of dentistry so that he is able to provide patients with the latest knowledge and treatment options.

Tom works to the very highest standard using the latest technology and equipment offered at Tooth Fairy Dental. Tom has enjoyed over 10 years of support from the Mount, Papamoa and Tauranga locals and has developed a reputation for quality work and care at affordable prices.

Tom has a keen interest in all of general dental care whether it be treating teenagers or performing complex cosmetic procedures. With over 28 years of clinical experience Tom is able to confidently deal with complicated aspects of advanced restorative dental treatment, including crowns, bridges, veneers and implants.

Patient care is integral to Tom’s treatment and procedures are fully explained. He has an extremely gentle and friendly approach, he enjoys treating and working with nervous patients and has cured many clients of their dental phobias over the years.

In Tom’s spare time, he enjoys playing golf, going up or around the Mount, jet skiing or attempting to surf.
